In the Pre-Prep years, we make learning fun by igniting children’s natural curiosity, encouraging them to take risks, and supporting them to master fundamental skills.

As part of the celebrations, Little Stream pupils were delighted to be visited by Jasmine the Listening Dog. Prep pupils enjoyed the ever-popular Masked Reader Assembly, trying to guess which members of staff were hidden behind the stories being read. Year 6 pupils also visited Little Stream to share some of their favourite books with the younger children, making it a lovely opportunity to celebrate reading together.

Senior pupils joined in the fun too, with the chance to dress up their form teacher in an outfit of their choice or decorate their form door with a book-themed design.

What a fantastic day celebrating the joy of reading – enjoyed by pupils and staff alike!

Talk Education take into account everything from the quantifiable (results, facilities, destinations and more) to the unquantifiables like word-of-mouth reputation. Not many schools in Kent made the cut, so we are giving ourselves a well-deserved pat on the back! A huge thank you to our pupils, parents and staff for everything you do to make our school community so special.

Located next to our existing Prep facilities, this new building will feature six additional classrooms and is set to be ready by September 2026. This development will bring all Prep pupils – from Fledglings to Year 6 – closer together, creating a more connected and cohesive Prep experience.

Whilst our Upper Prep and Senior pupils will continue to successfully share the same space for the rest of this academic year, this development will help us provide an environment that is better suited to the differing needs of both groups in the long term.

With building and design teams now on site, construction will begin in just a few weeks – watch this space!

The children asked an impressively challenging range of questions – from local traffic concerns, to national issues such as sugar in cereals and NHS waiting times, and on to global politics. Well done to all involved for such thoughtful and engaged discussion.

What a spectacular event it was, featuring incredible performances delivered with impressive skill and precision! Well done to all the pupils who performed and a big thank you to Mrs Carter and team for organising!

Thank you to all the staff and parents from schools across the South East who came to listen and contribute to a positive and valuable discussion.

In Nash House, our Nursery and Reception children sang and signed some lovely songs! Little Stream brought the spirit of autumn to their Harvest Festival assembly with joyful songs and poems about conkers, apples, and kindness. Meanwhile, Year 5 lifted everyone’s spirits in the Upper Prep and Senior School with a cheerful song celebrating all the food they are grateful for, which was enjoyed by all.

The wonderful display of everyone’s donations was truly heartwarming. All contributions went to the Trussell Trust’s food bank in Hawkhurst and our donation was the largest they received this year! Thank you to everyone who donated, and well done to the Little Stream School Council for helping load the van.

Candidates presented their manifestos to the Little Stream community and staff, outlining their ideas and aspirations. In the days leading up to the vote, pupils created posters, wristbands, and display boards to support their campaigns. On election day, excitement filled the School. Colourful, handmade posters decorated the corridors, each crafted by enthusiastic candidates eager to serve on the Little Stream School Council. It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to experience the democratic process first-hand. Congratulations to the newly elected representatives; the spirit of democracy is truly alive and well in Little Stream.
