Alongside Music, Drama, Sport, Art and an array of clubs to spark new interests, we also offer our older students a chance to take part in co-curricular activities which link to academic subjects or career options.
We call this super-curricular and these are the sort of activities which our students will reference in university applications, CVs and job interviews in the future.
Real-World Ready
As our pupils move towards GCSE, we offer them more experiences to ready them for the world beyond Dulwich Cranbrook. This includes preparing them for the more independent nature of A-level and university study, introducing them to the enormous choice in the world of work and wider society
Our Year 9 induction trip has a careers focus, this year touring and working in Formula One’s Digital Broadcast Studio and seeing Wicked in the West End. The trip aims to link their school-based learning in Computer Science, Science, Drama and English to the world of work as they discover how the Digital Broadcast Team stream races to 300 million people a weekend.
Popular clubs
Some of our most popular super-curricular clubs are Dulwich GT, Coding and Mock Trial Society.
Our Dulwich Greenpower Team includes engineers, designers, website architects, and fundraisers. Their aim is to design, build and race an electric car. Look out for their workshop next to the playing fields.
Coding club is for those who enjoy their Computer Science lessons and want to take their coding to the next level.
Mock Trial Society is the perfect club for any budding lawyers. The pupils take on the roles of prosecution, defence and magistrate to create a full mock criminal trial. Each trial is based on a real criminal case and take several weeks to research and prepare.
