Our Head of Drama, Mrs Carter, inspires in our pupils a level of exploration which takes them beyond the classroom and equips them for the challenges of performance – not only for the stage but also for life.
Multiple styles and techniques are taught with a backdrop of enjoyment and collaboration. Children are encouraged to think outside the box, interact with the audience and develop useful skills for a range of scenarios.
Every year group from Nursery upwards performs an annual play or musical, facilitated by three dedicated performance spaces across the school. We also offer LAMDA exams as part of the curriculum for all children in Years 5 to 8, and as an optional extra for Years 9-11. Trips and workshops happen throughout the year including, most recently, Macbeth at the Globe and Hamilton in the West End.
